The formal education that Abraham Lincoln received was almost non-existent. However, it did not stop him from getting to an astonishing level of self-education. Lincoln took every moment to work on himself. as a young boy, he read all the time, mostly the Bible and Shakespeare’s works. Even his legal career started with a few books he borrowed from a practicing lawyer and read all by himself. When he was serving his term in the House of Representatives, Lincoln, much to the amusement of his colleagues, kept spending hours upon hours in the Library of Congress. His self-education was a stunning work indeed, and his intellect had unprecedented power.
